What a lovely little place. Stopped off for a bit of a working lunch. Sat in the restaurant area with a gorgeous view our waitress Niamh (pronounced Neve) was straight over to offer table water which was a great touch. On returning with drinks we asked for a recommendation and 2 orders of the Cheese Pie is was. The fact that is came with and I quote “Proper Gravy” was a winner. To sum it up, great food, good selection of drinks and Niamh and the team are spot on! If your are in the area then be sure to pay a visit. We popped out for tea for a quick burger and a pint for 10 and wasn’t expecting much for that price at all and we were pleasantly surprised! I had the Peri chicken burger and this was so succulent and juicy and quite generous in size. Not at all spicy but so so tasty! My husband had the cheeseburger and he said that was great too. Not a man of many words and the fries were just that. We did order a side of onion rings between us and although gigantic, it was more batter than onion so I’d leave that next time. We could choose any pint (good ones included) and not the average usual ones. We had San Miguel, Moretti and a Thatchers Blood Orange, so definitely a good selection to choose from. We sat opposite the kitchen and chefs were busy yet calm and well organised. The waiter maybe could have done with some help as it was busy and he seemed to be dashing all over the place but it kind of looked like he was enjoying that and it wasn’t a problem. We cannot wait to go back and try items off the main menu and I will definitely be back for the burger and I never order a burger

We had an amazing meal at this pub and thoroughly enjoyed the early bird menu—it was fantastic value for money and easily worth much more. I genuinely couldn’t fault a thing; it was the best pub meal I’ve had in a long time! The starters were excellent, offering a great variety from traditional favorites to something a little different. The mains were just as impressive, with classic dishes done to perfection—particularly the cheese and onion pie and the gammon chop. The atmosphere, stunning views, and friendly, attentive staff made the experience even better. I highly recommend trying this place—you won’t be disappointed!

We called in on spec for a meal after hospital visiting! We hadn’t checked prior regarding Gluten Free but were delighted on arrival that they did offer GF meals. We grabbed a drink in the bar and within 5 minutes we had a table in the restaurant. The atmosphere in the pub and restaurant was so friendly and the setting perfect! Gorgeous views over Belthorne and beyond! Back to the food - we ordered the halloumi fries and Garlic Mushrooms both GF and they were fantastic! I then ordered the GF Fish & Chips. After a short while the lady in the restaurant apologised for the wait due to the fact a completely separate fryer was being heated up and a special area cleaned for my allergy! Best news to hear ever and certainly didn’t feel we waited over long. When the food came it was absolutely delicious: I would go as far to say it was the best F&C I’ve had since being GF. Couldn’t believe it was GF! This place is a hidden Gem and I would recommend to any GF sufferers out there! We will certainly be back!

Food was amazing! Friendly/Professional staff. Good price. We will certainly be coming back again soon. Can not recommend the salt and pepper chicken enough! My husband had the steak and he said it was one of the best he has ever had.

Great community owned local pub with well kept real ale (usually Filly Close Blond from Reedly Hallows, sometimes plus another). Staff friendly and restaurant excellent. Dog friendly in the bar, real fire in winter.

A great menu prepared by a chef with Michellin experience. Good value for money and lots of regular eating offered. Coffe and cake shop, featuring home baked cakes, open alongside the pub. Quiz and music nights are held regularly. This is a very well run community pub (it's owned by locals) and is well worth a look.
